We are incredibly proud of Chelsie Barrientos, Class of 2018 Salutatorian, who will be a presenter at this year's Texas Women and Girls in STEM Summit. Chelsie currently attends UT Austin and has already been accepted to the College of Natural Science's Computer Science Program, one of the top rated CS programs in the world. Every year, we commemorate Red Ribbon Week by hosting a door decorating contest. It is fulfilling, to say the least, to see teachers and students working together to make their doors stand out. Click on the link above for this year's winners.

Mission Collegiate has partnered once again with the Mission Economic Development Corporation's program CREW (Career Readiness and Empowerment of Women) Internship program. This past Friday, October 19th, MCHS interns toured UTRGV's School of Medicine. More details on the link above.

The overall theme for this year's National Red Ribbon Week is "My Future is Bright; No Drugs in Sight." Each day has a designated theme so let's participate and show our commitment to staying drug-free!

MCHS had the honor of participating in "Rachel's Challenge" this past Friday, October 12th. Rachel's Challenge is a program that provides sustainable, evidence-based framework for positive climate and culture in our schools. (rachelschallenge.org)
