Ivy League Bound!

Moises Ayala, MCHS junior, has been selected to attend Harvard this summer as part of the Harvard Secondary School Program. This is a highly selective college program for high school students that resembles the experience of Harvard College life. Moises will be enrolled in college courses alongside current college students, other high school students, and professionals from around the world. Moises was chosen from amongst an exceptional applicant pool based on his strong academic record and overall application. Congratulations on this monumental accomplishment Moises!

Senior, Pauline Llanas, Represents MCHS At Region One's "Battle of the Books"

MCHS Senior, Pauline Llanas, (photographed in the middle) represented us Knights at Region One's High School level "Battle of the Books," a literary competition where 17 neighboring districts compete. Pauline represented MCHS as part of Mission CISD’s High School team and was chosen as Team Captain. Our district’s team placed fourth overall. Great job Pauline and the rest of the MCISD team!

Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society Pays Tribute to Veterans

Our Rho Kappa Chapter hosted a Veteran's Day program honoring Veterans from within the MCHS community. The event included a discussion panel that was completely student-led by Rho Kappa members. Thank you to all Veterans and in particular, the ones that joined us for this event: Arnoldo Martinez (Specialist 4th Class Army), Lucia Marquez (Staff Sergeant Marines), Bobby R. Hopper (E3 Air Force), Eduardo Garcia (E5 Sergeant) Dimas Alvarez (Army), and Jamie Salinas (Private PV2 Army).
